I saw the first five episodes of this terrific show when it was playing on HBO On Demand but it doesn't seem like HBO is showing them anymore. I will be first in line to buy this DVD set once HBO gets around to releasing it. I am a big-time Roman history buff and I love the way this series presents the violence and squalor that characterized so much of Roman life. Most films about this period focus on the wealthy patricians and the marble buildings and I love the way this series shows all the strata of Roman society, from the elite down to the slaves.
So what's taking so long?

This series is a very enjoyable series, The first time I saw the 12 episodes I was blown away, I can't wait for it to be available on DVD.

I pretty much agree with everybody else - HURRY UP HBO AND RELEASE THE BOX SET of this wonderful series. I am addicted and can't wait to watch the whole series over, and over, and over, and over. This has to be the sexiest series yet - I loved it!

Being a history buff myself, This series is by far one of the best ive ever seen. I cant wait for the series to be released on dvd.

"Rome" was some of the best television I have ever seen ! I was riveted by this HBO series, it was dramatic, romantic, action packed, sexy, and at times very comical. The acting was postively top notch. I don't recall seeing any better performances on television, EVER! I am going thru severe withdrawls not being able to hang out with Lucious, Pullo, Atia, Mark Antony and Ceasar on Sunday nights. HBO PLEASE HURRY !
